I haven't posted in a while, but thought I would share with you all, unless you have already seen it. If you read the blurb, I can see totally what they are talking about, but there is also something very "unreal" about this too. Its a little disconcerting in some ways and until they perfect the human image, we are going to be bombarded with off putting and strange characters like this. Don't get me wrong, its all very, very impressive and extremely interesting, but I am not sure I like it..........
Fascinating stuff though.......
Not seen this before and not that familiar with Joe's later work, but I need to hear the Coldplay song to hear......
This isn't the first time that someone has thrown plagiarism accusations at Coldplay is it? Makes you wonder......
Been taking more and more photos. I am getting quite proud of some of them too! I am getting better bit by bit......
Most of these are from my trip to Barcelona with Laura last week......
Please click on the image to see a bigger one. I know its a lot, but there are plenty more where that came from. Let me know what you think! Ta! :-)
Not posted for a while, but then not a lot to talk about, so I thought I would post a few pictures I have been taking after inspiration from my digital photo course I have been doing for 5 weeks now. Pretty pleased with the outcome of a lot of these so far to be honest.........please critique as you wish if you like.....
Should be able to enlarge these.......just click!
The first is a picture taken on a hill at dusk with Laura as a model. The theme was "movement", so I interpreted that as I felt really. The second was taken (and slightly manipulated, I have to be honest) at Southwold on a lovely Sunday afternoon and the third was at a friends wedding.....I just love the way I have framed it and the soft focus does it a real favour....love that pic!
Anyway, I may post more when I have them! Let me know what you think!
Not posted on here for a LONG time, but was utterly knocked out by this website and thought you all need to see it. Not only are the images utterly amazing (ok, its manipulated using various types of software to get the effects, but it still looks incredible), but the author subscribes to the Creative Commons Licence, which seems like a very, very good idea........
Checkt this out.........
Awesome!!!
The images are compiled from a number of photos, all taken in exactly the same spot, but at different exposure levels and then merged in a piece of software to bring out the high or low lights of each shot. This can be done with anything above 3 identically placed and composed photos, although anything above 10 is pushing it really. The effects can be utterly amazing, if a little unrealistic. I would love to be able to take photos like this, but its time consuming and the software is expensive. But the end results are just trully incredible.........

This was copied from a Photography blog and podcast notes so I could
get some "inspiration" to take more photos. I think it might be useful.
Just need things to take photos of...................I am so
unimaginative!!!!
What quality in your best friend are you most envious of and why?
These aren't things that are present in just one "best friend" of mine. Its qualities I see in all of my friends that I wish I had......
Charm, quick wit, eye for detail, humour, intelligence, thoughtfulness, good looks, height, word play, artistic tendancies, musicality......
There are many. I could go on, but I will just depress myself.......
Well, this is my first relatively serious attempt at using Photoshop with my new DSLR and I have to say I am pretty proud of myself! The quality of this photo is a little reduced as I had to save it as JPEG to get the file size down, so it could be posted and mailed, but you get the idea.....I have better copies of this.
Anyway, this was taken by myself when Laura and I went on the London Eye on Saturday as part of her 30th Birthday celebrations. Hope you like it and will welcome all constructive criticism......I need it! I want to know how I have done!
Well I am pretty pleased! :-)
Edit: For Robin's benefit, this is the original shot in RAW. Hope this works.......
The bottom picture, although it doesn't look much like it, is in colour. Its the first time since I did the above picture I have seen the difference myself and I have to say, its really quite suprising!
I think fairly self explanatory from the title!
Err.........
AAAARRRGGGGHHH!!!!
Errr.......
Wow!

Good graphics.Of course SF writers have been there for years. Read Idoru by William Gibson? Or River Of Gods by... read more
