Well, this is kinda what I do.......
with the man at the front being the very man the place was named after....the legendary Nobel Prize winner, Fred Sanger. He devised the first cheap and reliable method of sequencing DNA, decoding the genome of a virus back in the 70's. That technology was the foundation of the upscaling process that was made to sequence the entire human genome, a technological feat that is probably on a par with putting man on the moon. The fascinating thing is that what took 5 years to do, with a collaboration of about 10 different labs and institutes all contributing all over the world can now be done in a matter of days for a tiny fraction of the price. Technology moves fast.............and we shall ALL be the beneficiaries of this incredible science........

And as life has gone on, the lyrics have meant that much more to me...................hugely moving song and never has a song been sung with such vitriol, passion, intensity and meaning........
Show us a type of art or craft that you'd like to learn.
I have seen these guys live on a few occasions now and they have not failed to utterly, utterly blow me away every time I have seen them. I know, from doing a little research on them, that they do workshops on an Island of the Japanese coast, where they not only teach this, but practice and live. I am still yet to go to Japan, but it is one of those things I WILL do before I die. And when I do this, I am going to look into going to the island and meeting up with these guys.
I have had a passion for the sound of drums since I can remember. Its the rhythm, obviously, that I get wrapped up in, but I never really had any desire to learn to play the drums....until relatively recently that is. Maybe its a midlife crisis, maybe its something deeper, I don't know. But the drums that KODO play reach in deeper, with a feel that takes you away to somewhere else and when you are watching them play, you can see every sinew, every muscle, every heartbeat they put into it. Its extraordinarily physical, yet some parts can be unbelievably delicate. Its spectacularly good.....
This is an art I would love to learn.....not just for the drum playing, but for the challenge too.......
